World We Imagine - Part 3

Keep Up the Kindness Movement - #passiton One of the things I value most in people is kindness and everything related to kindness (empathy, compassion, etc.). I feel as though that trait is one that can truly make the world go round. That being said, I would love to create a movement where the primary goal is do kind things for one another, and continuously pass that kindness on. I've seen social media videos where someone buys a fast food meal for the person behind them, then that person does the same, and then the chain keeps going; I would love for my movement to have a similar style. Not just for fast food of course, but for anything kind, whether it is helping someone cross the street, or just letting a stranger rant to you about what they're going through. My mission of the Keep Up the Kindness Movement is to continue kindness and just pass it on to others. My organization is unique because these acts of kindness will be performed on a global scale, both in real life and ...

World We Imagine Part 1

I am glad that for this first part of the assignment, we can free write and not limit ourselves to just one out of many ideas that could make the world a better place. When I finally looked at the notes that I was jotting down throughout the week, I noticed that they all have a similar theme of people being physically and mentally connected to each other as well as nature. For example, I started writing notes about performing acts of kindness for other people and showing basic empathy. Then, I started writing a little more about the 60's and what the people in that era remind me of. I thought of physical connection like hand holding, hugging, dancing, and singing. These are different ways that seem to bond people from a bunch of different backgrounds. A kinder world would...

RANDOM Post 2

I can't think of anything else to write, so I thought to just reflect on my college experience and how I am going to be graduating next month. It is crazy that I am this close to the finish line, especially because I literally remember my first day of college (which happened almost 4 years ago). I am actually a transfer student from a different school on the East Coast, so it stinks that I wasn't at USC the whole time, but on the other hand, I am really glad to have learned more about myself from the experiences at my other college. For example, if I didn't transfer, I would still probably be dying as a pre-med student and suffocating in subjects like physics. Then, as I think about my classes, it's funny to me that my first semester and last semester of college have been the hardest for me. At my old school, I was taking Intensive Chemistry and Intensive Mandarin at the same time during my first semester. I was actually insane for doing that, and to be honest, I am not...
